Setting on the Rails
A quiet vibration started deep within my chassis. The plastic ridges beneath me felt distinct and firm. I tested my forward drive with a deliberate pause, easing my driving wheels against the bright orange rail. They turned smoothly under my own will. Ahead, the route straightened toward the grey gantry and darker plastic ties, while another blue engine sat motionless on the incline behind. I brought my momentum to a methodical stop right along the curve, inspecting the gap before the switch. The rails are secure, the path is clear, and I am in full control of my motion.
