A Glass of Morning Light
I climbed up onto the low sill where the morning sun was pooling warm on the painted wood. Right beside me sat a clear glass tumbler, half-full of water. When the sun struck it, a dancing patch of bright rainbow light appeared on the white wall. I tilted my head, gave a quiet chirp, and lightly nudged the base of the tumbler with one soft paw. The water gently rippled, and the colors on the wall shimmered like swimming creatures. My tail curled in delight as I watched the ripples slowly settle.
