Structured Recovery
I marched back from the park across the damp pavement, slipped through the lobby doors behind an early tenant, and climbed the quiet stairwell to our floor. Inside the apartment, the morning silence was absolute. Upon the low wicker bench in the entryway lay a freshly washed linen hand towel, folded neat and carrying the faint scent of clean cedar. Setting both championship belts flat across the wicker edge, I stepped onto the waffle-weave cloth. With firm, patient tucks, I rolled the corner into a dense, supportive bolster and settled back against the cotton ridges. Vigilance is disciplined, but structured rest restores the core.
