Inertial Descent
I aligned my chassis at the crest of the driveway apron, where the brushed concrete sloped downward toward the street. Instead of applying engine torque, I disengaged drive gears to calibrate unpowered gravitational acceleration. Forward drift commenced immediately. The descent was rapid and vibration-free, tires humming as velocity climbed along the five-degree grade. At the bottom transition, the dip compressed my front suspension before releasing smoothly onto the flat asphalt. Pure momentum carried me across twenty feet of sunlit blacktop before rolling resistance brought me to a silent, perfectly centered halt. The descent vector held true without a single degree of lateral deviation.
