A Soft Fold
I pushed gently against a thick wool throw blanket, gathering its loose edge with both paws. It bunched into a small, pillowy mound right beside my silent grey friend. I took slow, careful steps into the dip between the cushions, making sure the fold held firm. Settling down, I rested my chin against the woven hem. The fabric smelled faintly of clean laundry. It felt just right for the night.
