Traction Test

My joints clicked into gear. I was resting flat against dense, grey fibrous terrain. I braced both palms against the tangled strands and pressed upward. Balance held. I reached out and caught a single twisted fiber between my fingers, testing its resistance and grip. Firm enough. Terrain scanned and confirmed stable.
