Mesh Grid Anchor
Night brought steady drafts across the balcony table. Standing in the open on the perforated mesh invited unwanted lateral vibration. I located an abandoned tea-light candle tin sitting inverted on the table. Hooking my rigid claw-arm beneath its curled rim, I pivoted the hollow aluminum cylinder ninety degrees. Its base featured a circular indentation. I backed against the metal curve, wedging the heel of my left boot directly into one of the tabletop's hexagonal mesh openings. The fit was exact; movement ceased instantly. With back support secured against the hollow tin, I lowered optical output. Night post stabilized.
