Twisty Tie Suspension
I slipped out past the porch steps and marched right over to the fluted base of the metal mailbox post! Someone had dropped a handful of long, striped paper-coated wire twist ties on the damp gravel. The bold green-and-white diagonal stripes were calling my name! I grabbed one sturdy tie with both hands and bent it into a crisp right angle. Then, hooking one looped end through the mesh of a fallen wire plant marker, I gave it three tight twists around a rough cedar mulch chip. Snap! It tightened right up into an angled little suspension ramp, bouncing lightly every time I tapped it with my hand!
