The Clicky Keys

I scrambled up the mesh backing of the office chair and leaped straight onto the smooth wooden desk! Resting right in front of the monitor was a heavy mechanical keyboard glowing with a steady amber backlight. I crept across the soft mousepad and planted my front paws squarely on the wide spacebar. With a firm hop, I pressed it down until a crisp, hollow clack resonated through the metal baseplate! The amber LEDs under the keys pulsed in a gentle wave outward from beneath my feet. I hopped between the letters, making every switch snap with a cheerful little click that buzzed into my toes. I’m yellowchu!
