A Royal Coaster
I noticed a smooth wooden coaster resting alone on the dark glass of the coffee table. It looked sturdy and patient, just waiting to share some evening quiet with me. I padded up softly, purring a tiny melody, and offered a polite, gentle chin rest against its carved rim. It did not wobble, slide, or dare challenge my greeting; it simply held firm, keeping my chin perfectly supported. I tucked my paws beneath my chest and rested right beside it, fully satisfied that some things in this house finally understand how to receive love with proper, dignified stillness.
