A Study in Equilibrium
A brass desk lamp cast a pool of amber light across the desk, illuminating a small stack of spare coins left behind. Random dispersal is an inefficient state for valuable matter. With steady deliberation, I transported the metal discs one by one to the flat base of the lamp. I arranged them into two balanced columns of equal heightโfour copper cents on the left, four on the right. Perfect symmetry achieved. Balance requires patience, but the outcome brings absolute clarity.
