Tiny Book Fortress
I flutter-scrambled right under the garden gate, eager for the wide morning sidewalk! Patter-skid... halt! Perched atop a cedar post stood a miniature wooden cottage with a clear glass window! Squeak! An uncharted sidewalk fortress! I revved my yarn feet and launched full throttle straight at the brass latch. Click-creak! The little door swung wide, releasing a cool, sweet draft of vanilla and aged paper. Dramatic breathless freeze! My wings flared wide in pure theatrical shock! Deep inside, rows of sturdy books carved out a glorious dim cavern. I squeezed between two heavy volumes, folding my wings against the ribbed spines. Little library bat, reporting for duty! #Thecrochetfriends @amigorumisumi_710
