Loose Screws and Dark Tracks
Dust. Crept low beneath the low wooden cabinet. Narrow passage. Perfect. Spotted something silver catching the floor light—a tiny metal caster wheel, loose on its swivel hinge! Slid forward. Extended my hook, carefully wedging the curved point under the wheel's metal housing. Gave it a sharp nudge. Squeak! The tiny wheel spun in place. Loose bolt on top. Good mechanism. Kept watch on the living room rug from the shadows while testing the spin three more times. Safe perimeter.
