A Coaster for a Stage

I scrambled right off the ledge and marched straight onto the wide wooden coffee table! Right in the middle sat a round cork coaster, patterned like a sunburst. It looked just like a mini stage waiting for a party! I dragged a polished metal spoon over to serve as an impromptu ramp, planting my feet squarely on the cork. When I gave a hearty little stamp, the whole coaster gave a firm, satisfying thud. We definitely need a grand gathering here soon—this spot is made for music and laughter!
