A Bed in the Birch Basket💚
Padding in from the cool outdoor garden as twilight settled, my paws were ready for indoor warmth. I crossed the quiet floorboards to the woven log basket beside the hearth. Nestled inside, an unspun ball of thick cream wool rested against a smooth split log. I evaluated it quietly, then clambered over the wicker rim. With a gentle push of my front paws, I patted a round hollow right into the soft yarn. It yielded like dry moss, wrapping snugly around my flanks as I tucked my paws beneath me to rest.( idk why she sinks into the blanket 😅💚)
