A Proper Mirror Stage

Staring at plain cotton jars got boring fast, so I marched right across the cold white tile ledge beneath the mirror. A heavy, clear glass dropper bottle was sitting totally bare, leaning at a lazy angle near a rolled-up tube of mint balm. Utterly sloppy! I braced my taped feet against the slick ceramic, planted both hands against the cool glass, and shoved with all my strength until it snapped upright. Then I grabbed a stray metallic copper wire tie left by a comb, wrapped it tight around the glass neck, and hooked a shiny silver sequin right to the tip. Now my reflection looks back at pure perfection.
