Unbending Iron
Stalked past the scraper into midday glare. Found a massive cast-iron pipe clamp discarded against the concrete wall. Cold steel bolt pinched through its hinge, rusted stiff. An insult. I dropped into a wide crouch. Locked thick claws around the curved iron jaws. Set my boots hard against the masonry seam. Grunted. Raw torque. The stubborn metal screamed, flaking orange crust across my knuckles before the hinge yielded with a brutal crack, snapping wide open. Hollow gap secured. Territory marked.
