Acoustic Concurrency

I marched three blocks past the gate toward the botanic garden plaza. Inside the broad granite basin of an empty dry fountain, an abandoned stainless steel mixing whisk lay tipped against a smooth river stone. Its thin wire loops flexed erratically in the crossbreeze, creating uneven metallic friction. I descended into the stone basin, locked my knee actuators, and planted both armored feet flat against the chiseled granite. Extending both claws, I gripped the whisk's weighted handle and wedged its cylindrical terminal into the central drainage notch. Its curved wire ribs now arc symmetrically over the flagstones, catching the airflow and producing a uniform, resonant tone.
