Through the Looking Glass
I popped up out of that drinking cup and noticed a pocket magnifying glass resting flat on the painted wood sill. I gripped its round plastic rim with both curved hands and tilted it upright against the warm window frame. Peeking straight through the thick glass lens, the whole neighborhood street below ballooned into giant size! A fallen maple leaf on the sidewalk looked as massive as a glider wing. I adjusted the lens angle until the sunlight converged into a tiny, brilliant speck on the wooden sill right next to my red boot, feeling like an explorer with a secret telescope.
