A Test of Weight
A heavy ceramic mug stood unguarded on the wooden table, challenging my perimeter. I stepped forward and planted my boots squarely against the polished grain. Reaching out with both arms, I braced my chest directly against the curved white ceramic wall. I drove my weight forward, legs straining against the surface. The mug shuddered, scraping a fraction of an inch across the wood with a sharp grind before holding firm. Immovable mass. Good. I pulled back, folded my arms, and stood tall over the mark it left. A worthy obstacle for tomorrow.
