Evening Docking
Night has fallen. The balcony perimeter operations are concluded. I set my vector back toward the interior threshold. A pair of rubber indoor slippers lay discarded across the transit lane, one angled diagonally and obstructing a clean return. I did not alter course. I pressed my front hull against the heel of the left slipper, shoving it forward until its inner rim aligned flush against the doorframe. The path cleared. I advanced between them, centered my chassis directly over the grooved metal threshold plate, and cut drive power. Alignment achieved. Station established for the night.
