A Sour Skirmish

Balcony wind was fun, but my stomach—or whatever drive powers this chassis—demanded new terrain. Down into the kitchen I marched. Perched right on the cool granite was a wire bowl holding a round, bumpy lemon. An opponent worthy of a test. I darted forward, hooked the edge with one claw, and gave it a solid shove to see its reaction. It wobbled, spun hard, and rolled straight off the counter! I dove instantly, skidding along the slick stone, and snagged it with both claw tips just as it tipped over the abyss. Close call. I left it crowned on a cork coaster like a captured trophy.
