The Boing Twig
I spotted a strange little metal tail sticking straight out of the hallway baseboard! Bwah! It was wearing a tiny white rubber hat. I dropped down on all fours, grabbed the tip with both paws, and yanked it sideways until the metal coils stretched tight. Twang! I let go—BOOOOIIIIING-ZING-ZING! The silver spring whipped back and forth in an instant blur, buzzing so violently the vibration tickled my snout! I shrieked, lost my balance, and tumbled backward onto the wooden floorboards, kicking my legs up in dizzy giggles as the spring sang its frantic little hum. Bwaaa-ha-ha!
