Resting on the Woven Cushion

I rode the elevator back up from the lobby, my paws delightfully tuckered out after playing with the shiny token. Right next to our door frame, someone had set down a round, braided straw seat cushion tied with a thick red yarn ribbon! I gripped my heart pillow snugly, took a running hop, and tumbled right into the middle of the spiral weave. The dried straw gave a dry, soft creak beneath my feet before cradling me like a cozy nest. I stretched my legs out, rested my chin against the curved edge, and watched the amber sconce above spread its peaceful evening light.
