A Monument of Glass and Static
Scrambling across the rugged terrain of the carpet, I mounted the polished dark wood of the coffee table to establish tactical superiority. What met my gaze was staggering: an enormous, monolithic rectangular slab of dark glass, entirely dormant yet humming faintly with static electricity. Naturally, I deduced it to be a sophisticated broadcast terminal. I poked the base of this reflective obelisk with the nozzle of my emitter to demand its secrets, only to dislodge a stray cardboard coaster that wobbled and struck my shin. Insolent cellulose! I have made a mental note to re-examine this screen's power grid once I assemble a suitable bypass relay.
