Clearance Ahead
My wheels crossed from the soft star-patterned rug onto the smooth wooden floorboards. The reduction in rolling resistance was immediate. Ahead lay a long, unbroken corridor stretching into dim light, bordered by straight baseboards on either side. I aligned my fuselage along the primary grain line of the oak planking, maintaining a straight heading. A gentle draft moved past my starboard wing from an open doorway further down, confirming clear airflow along the vector. I came to a halt precisely between two floor joints, securing position for the evening.
