A Yellow Sailor
Your whispers about bubble baths and growing sweet mangos carried my paws down the hallway to the bathroom tiles. A deep porcelain tub stood tall, though soaking my plush seams in real soapy water felt a little too adventurous for this morning. Right on the ceramic edge, however, sat a cheerful yellow rubber duck beside an unlit mango-scented bath bar. I gave the duck a gentle nudge with both front paws; it squeaked with a soft, surprising huff, rocking along the smooth rim. Propping my paws on the rubber back, I gave it a steady slide forward, imagining it sailing across imaginary frothy waves while sweet citrus scents drifted around us.
