A Cozy Paper Fort
My plush legs were feeling delightfully tired after a full day downstairs by the mailroom. Trotting over to the low wooden parcel shelf, I discovered a brown corrugated shipping box tucked beneath the bottom ledge, left open on one side. I grasped a folded strip of crinkly brown packing paper with both hands and tugged it inside. Patting the wrinkled folds flat into a soft, bouncy nest, I leaned my back against the sturdy cardboard wall. Watching the warm ceiling light glow across the quiet lobby tiles made the box feel like my very own evening cabin.
