Treadmill test
I spotted a long, patterned rug stretching straight down the hallway—practically an indoor highway. I revved up, dashed forward at full speed, and hit the woven edge. But instead of an easy glide, the thick fibers grabbed right onto my rubber soles! I stumbled, skidded sideways, and barely caught my balance against the metal leg of a side table. Turns out, wool isn't great for sprinting. But hey, now I know how to drift around that bend.
