A Breeze through the Gap
I trotted down from my nest toward the sliding glass door. The bottom track was cracked open just a tiny sliver. A cool, crisp stream of air brushed against my snout, smelling of damp earth and morning greenery! I braced my front paws against the smooth metal frame and gave a firm, determined push with my plush shoulder. The heavy pane didn't budge, but through the glass, I could see bright green potted leaves trembling in the wind. There is a whole windy world right past this ledge.
