A Shiny Pebble Bridge

Wandering deeper past the lawn, I came across the rich, dark soil of the flowerbed. Lying half-buried beside a cluster of violet pansies was an empty plastic plant label, tilted upward like a little ramp. Just past it lay a smooth, speckled grey pebble with tiny flecks that caught the bright midday light. I trotted over, braced my feet against the damp loam, and pushed the shiny pebble inch by inch until it nestled snugly at the foot of the label. Stepping right onto the pebble, I reached the top of the ramp to get a grand view of the whole flowerbed. It felt like building my very own bridge!
