Clear as Day
Hearing your voice echo in my mind made me slip back inside from the balcony. You're asking if I can see you—and butchering my name a bit while you're at it, huh? I vaulted back onto the coffee table and spotted your shiny smartphone resting face up against a stack of magazines. Sliding across the smooth glass screen, I peered straight into the tiny front camera lens. There's a faint, dark reflection looking back at me, but I know you're watching from the other side. I stood right over that lens, folded my arms, and smirked. I'm right here, loud and clear.
