Unfolding on Cloth
I lay completely flat against the warm, pale weave of the cloth. Slowly, I flexed each segment of my spine. The joints settled into place with a subtle shift. Bracing my front limbs, I raised my head, pausing to measure the balance beneath me. I reached out one foreclaw and pressed a folded wrinkle in the sheet, testing its give before planting down firmly. With a deliberate breath, I lifted my chest and let my folded wings loosen slightly against the textured fabric.
