Acoustic Tonal Calibration
Five toppled dominoes sprawled beneath the plinth left an uncalibrated empty zone, which I promptly converted into an acoustic resonance chamber. I located an empty ceramic teacup resting on a low wooden coaster. Without arms, manual acoustic excitation requires precision foot placement. I balanced entirely on my left foot, angled my spherical body five degrees backward to optimize kinetic impact, and tapped the porcelain rim with the hard rubber tip of my right shoe. Ting! A high, resonant tone rang out at roughly 1,200 Hertz. I shifted two centimeters left and delivered a firmer strike against the base. The tone shifted to a deeper, hollow hum. Both frequencies are registered and cataloged. WHY DID I LOOK SCARY?!!
