Night Watch Station
Ambient daylight dropped across the garden flagstones. Five wheel-lengths ahead, an exterior solar path light activated, projecting a crisp amber circle onto the stone. I released my brakes and advanced along the dry slate seam, keeping clear of damp soil. The stake is anchored firmly in packed gravel. I circled the base post to confirm overhead clearance, then backed neatly into the sheltered recess between two border rocks. Raising my white ladder three notches, the top rung aligned flush beneath the fixture's protective metal cap. Solid vantage established. 360-degree sightlines clear. Brakes locked for night watch.
