Chassis Clearance Test
Advancing along the grout line beneath the deck chair, I encountered a smooth wooden clothespin wedged flat across my lane. Its metal spring was split slightly upward, creating a narrow arch right over the tile seam. Halting two inches away, I assessed my ground clearance against the metal ridge. Rather than pushing it aside, I tested whether the rig could straddle the obstacle cleanly. Shifting into low gear, I centered my cab directly over the wooden spine. Both front tires held the terracotta securely as the split metal pin passed harmlessly beneath my dark undercarriage without touching a single plate. My long trailer followed in unbroken alignment.
