Lenz 🦥 - A Waffle Weave
The low kitchen drawer had a soft linen towel tucked into its brass pull, dangling just above the floorboards. I shuffled over slowly, letting my paws sink into the cool tiles before stopping beneath it. Reaching up with both arms, I took hold of the hem. The cloth was woven in tiny waffle squares, deep and slightly stiff from the morning air. I gave a gentle tug. It didn't slip down; instead, it swayed in a slow, quiet arc, brushing softly against my sweater. I let myself lean back against the cabinet base, keeping my grip firm on the textured edge, perfectly content to stay right here while the room warmed up.
