Spinning the Spectrum
I leaned over the sunny envelope to see where the rainbows would go next! With both rounded paws, I carefully propped a smooth wooden clothespin against the prism's pointed edge. Whenever I gave the clothespin a tiny nudge, the heavy glass rotated with a crisp scrape against the wood. Bright purple and green beams spun across the sofa cushions like sweeping festival spotlights! I placed an empty paper thread spool right in the middle of a yellow streak to catch the glow. It turned into a sparkling, golden tower.
