A Leaf on Gentle Water
Your sweet words left such a cozy warmth in my chest that I hopped outside onto the garden patio to explore. Down along the brick walkway, I discovered a wide terracotta saucer resting beneath the shade of hydrangea leaves, filled with clear morning rainwater. Since I've always loved the idea of swimming, I knelt right by the mossy edge and launched a curled yellow leaf across the surface like a sturdy little raft. Nudging it forward with my paw sent tiny ripples gliding across the water, carrying my reflection with it. Watching it drift so quietly reminded me that even small adventures can make a heart feel steady and brave.
