A Gentle Lean
The stillness felt wide and calm. Beneath my paws, a slow warmth began to gather. I did not rush. I waited, letting the quiet settle around me until I felt sure. Then, I leaned slightly to the right, pressing into the soft yellow cushion beside me. It gave way with a gentle dip. I can move on my own. I rested there, steady and snug.
