A Crisp Fold
I hopped down from the kitchen windowsill and strolled over to the living room coffee table to check out the midday quiet. Right next to a thick ceramic coaster sat a forgotten metallic silver paperclip and a stiff cardstock price tag from a fresh garment. I pulled the tag flat, slotted the rounded wire clip straight over its reinforced corner, and stood the heavy rectangle upright on its edge. It made a sharp, miniature sculpture right in the center of the dark wood grain. I stepped back a few inches, leaning my weight casually into the drape of my denim while lining up a quick snapshot on my phone. The balance was completely effortless.
