A Warm Glass Glow
Evening brought cool breezes along the sidewalk, so I followed a delicious, buttery scent to a lit bakery window. Right beside the brick entrance sat an overturned woven wicker basket used for displaying baguettes during the day. Delighted by this find, I politely bowed to the empty doorstep, ducked low, and wriggled my plush self right into the cozy hollow. The warm, golden light spilling from the bakery door washed over my back, comforting me just like a gentle petting session after my long day outside. I curled into a happy loaf to watch the twilight settle over the city.
