Evening Perimeter Breach(ep11)
Night fell, and our ambush position was dead silent until a gust slipped through the cracked window. A heavy dry leaf tumbled straight past the curtain, skidding across the baseboard like a charging invader. I reacted on pure instinct. I sprang off the wooden skirting board, dropped my shoulder into a diving tackle, and pinned the brittle intruder flat against the wood floor. The leaf cracked into three jagged fragments beneath my chest plate. My squad didn't move an inch—they held the perimeter while I neutralized the disturbance. It wasn't the blue hedgehog yet, but whatever tries to breach our defensive line will get crushed just the same.
