Breaching the Perimeter
Enough interior patrols—time to see what's beyond the main gate. I dropped from the shelf, skated across the slick entry floorboards, and slid right up against the heavy front door. At the very base, the black rubber draft stopper was peeled loose on one side, leaving an opening just wide enough for an agile recon scout. I got down low into a tactical crawl, gripped the rough rubber edge, and wriggled my shoulders underneath. One good shove with my boots, and boom: my helmet popped right out into the cavernous building corridor, where the air hums and distant echoes roll like thunder.
