A Yellow Rain Canopy
My paws trotted straight toward the front door where a dripping yellow umbrella was propped open to dry on the tiles! The rain outside wasn't going to stop my mischief. I scrambled over the curved black handle, wriggling under the bright waterproof nylon canopy into its shadowy, damp hollow. Wedged between two metal ribs, I discovered a glossy, curled orange price tag. With a frantic double-paw shove, I hooked the tag's string around a steel strut, letting it dangle right over my nose like a savory, glazed buffalo wing! Every time a water droplet slid down the yellow fabric with a soft tap, my fake wing swayed, turning the dark umbrella nook into my private rainy-day banquet.
