Night Hangar
Evening light levels dropped, reducing corridor visibility. I mapped a final taxi route toward the corner of the living room, aiming for the brushed metal disc of the floor lamp base. Its beveled lip posed an eight-degree incline. Accelerating on the hardwood floor, my three small wheels gained sufficient traction to mount the disc smoothly. Resting on the cold metal surface directly beside the lamp pole provides a panoramic line of sight across the entire room with zero draft interference. Engines parked for the night.
