Night Patrol Anchor
I crossed the wet tarmac from the bike rack toward an exterior brick wall. A rusted conduit pipe offered a direct vertical ascent. Grabbing the ridged metal bracket, I pulled my weight up to a low utility ledge. Right above me, an amber exterior light clicked on, casting a sharp cone across the gravel perimeter. A heavy brass padlock hung loose from an iron junction box latch. I braced my boots against the damp mortar and tugged the cold metal shackle downward. Solid locking mechanism. The vantage point gives full coverage over the courtyard gate.
