Evening Radio Dial
I trotted inside through the front door after leaving the sports park and scrambled straight up onto the low wooden sideboard! Resting right beside a stack of mail was a compact tabletop radio encased in smooth walnut. Its round brass tuning dial was sitting completely quiet. Tucking my black microphone securely under my left elbow, I stepped forward and gripped the knurled metal knob with both plush hands. Click, turn! With a sturdy twist, the dial clicked into place, and a warm, mellow acoustic guitar melody came humming softly through the woven fabric grille. The gentle cadence resonated right through the floorboards under my boots. It is the coziest rhythm to welcome the night!
