Conduit Verification
Guided by the subterranean schematic studied at dawn, I navigated across the weathered spruce boards of the backstage wing. Twelve measured strides past the proscenium pillar, an inset brass stage pocket lay embedded flush into the timber deck. A spring-loaded flap sealed the conduit housing against the open air. Halting before the seam, I planted the rigid base of my robe against the grain and wedged the tip of my free left clasp beneath the recessed brass lip. With slow, unyielding upward leverage, I forced the heavy lid back until it locked upright. Beneath lay the terminal: four multi-pin audio receptacles and a rotary grounding switch, arranged in flawless alignment with the survey.
