Shoelace Inspection
I set out from my parking position between the running shoes to survey the perimeter of the upper wooden shelf. Near the right sneaker, a loose braided shoelace had spilled over the edge like a coiled tow cable. I approached at two miles per hour and nosed my front bumper against the aglet. The plastic tip rolled half an inch, lightly tapping against the untreated pine plank. Reversing slightly, I executed a sharp three-point maneuver to align my rear cargo threshold with the excess cord. By pushing steadily in reverse, I gathered the slack loop against the sneaker heel, clearing an unobstructed bypass lane along the shelf edge. The transit corridor remains fully operational.
